ONSITE ACCOMMODATION

There are two onsite accommodation options at The Normans:
The Cottage and The Granary.

There’s no obligation to book either of these properties - they’re optional extras and therefore not included in venue hire price.

The couple getting married at The Normans has first refusal of The Cottage and The Granary. If the couple choose not to book either property for themselves or for close friends and family, then the properties will remain empty on the wedding day (i.e. we won’t book them out to random strangers!)

The Cottage

This chic countryside abode is just footsteps away from The Normans wedding venue.

It’s the perfect bolthole for the bride (or the groom!) to spend the night before the Big Day, get ready with their friends on the morning of the event, and for the happy couple to stay on the wedding night.

Dressing Room

Step through The Cottage’s sage-green door and, on the ground-floor, you’ll find a Dressing Room, specifically designed with the bride (or groom!) in mind.

A trio of mirrors sit above an expansive dressing table, providing a salon-worthy space for your hairdresser and make-up artist.

Aside from its practical and functional features (i.e. plenty of plug points, hooks to hang dresses from, etc), The Dressing Room is the prettiest of places to get ready… not to mention the perfect setting to pop open a bottle of bubbly to start the celebrations!

Kitchen

The ground-floor kitchen includes a fridge, oven and hob, butler sink, crockery, glassware (there are plenty of champagne flutes!), plus tea, coffee, sugar and milk, and a welcome package of biscuits, chocolates, Prosecco.

Shower room

The contemporary shower room (also on the ground-floor), complete with soft towels and underfloor heating, is the perfect place for brides and their bridesmaids to freshen up, ready for hair and make-up.

Bedrooms

Head upstairs and you’ll find two bedrooms, sleeping a maximum of four adults.

The master bedroom looks out across Normans Farm's rolling fields and features a luxurious king-size bed, television, breakfast table for two, hanging hooks for dresses and a large full-length mirror.

Other accessories include iron, ironing board and hair dryer - essential wedding-day equipment!

The guest bedroom also boasts farm-facing views, and can be set up as a single room or a twin room (i.e. one or two single beds) upon request.

Brides and grooms have first refusal on our onsite accommodation for their wedding weekend, so there's no chance of anyone else booking it on your wedding day!

The Granary

The Granary is perfect for the couple’s family and close friends.

We recommend that guests staying in The Granary know each other, since it is necessary for guests to share some facilities (for example, twin-room occupants will have to shower in one of the double bedroom's ensuite bathroom).

Remember: The Normans Cottage, on the other hand, is geared towards brides and their bridesmaids, since it features the spacious downstairs dressing room.

The Granary sleeps a maximum of six people.

Kitchen

The Granary features a charming ground-floor kitchen and dining area, complete with everything you need for a comfortable stay (dining table, chairs, fridge, oven, hob, butler sink, crockery, and glassware).

Downstairs loo

There's also a ground-floor loo with jazzy farm-theme wallpaper. Which is nice.

Bedrooms

Upstairs, on the first floor, you'll find three bedrooms: 'Fox', 'Pheasant' and 'Hare', which combine to sleep a maximum of six guests.

‘Fox’ is a spacious double, complete with stylish pendant lights, a dressing table, a tall mirror, flatscreen TV, and ensuite with bath and shower.

‘Pheasant’ is a well-appointed double room, with great storage (perfect hanging space for suits and dresses), a dressing table, plentiful mirrors, flatscreen TV, ironing board (stowed away in said storage), and a ensuite shower room.

'Hare' is a cosy twin room (two single beds) perfect for families staying with children (or, indeed for groomsmen or bridesmaids who don't want to share a bed!!!).

The Granary is an optional extra and is not included in the wedding venue hire price.
